Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work? |
Get in touch and tell us what you have, what you would like and what you need and we'll work out the best package and price we can for you.
Once we've agreed on how to proceed (including design/artistic requirements) we will then secure your new domain name, hosting space and start building. At every stage you have the right to make any reasonable changes to get what you want. You can also have as much input as you like; if you'd like to supply the content (text and/or pictures/photos) that's not a problem. In fact it would help maintain accuracy and speed things along to get you "live" sooner rather than later.
When your site's ready, you get final approval. It's at this stage that every site we build will be "optimized" to help it appear as high as possible on the most popular search engines. Once finalized and published in full we'll also "submit" the site to the key search engines in the internet to help give it a head start.

I'm not sure if I need new photos and my logo needs some work, do I need to arrange this? |
Not at all. Anything you have will be reviewed during the planning process. Using existing media and materials will help to keep your costs down, but if you do need some new stuff don't worry. Professional photographers and graphic designers can be arranged to ensure your new website starts out looking as fantastic as it should. |
How long will it take? |
That pretty much depends on how much work is involved. A basic starter site can usually be completed within a couple of weeks, if everything that's required is ready to go (i.e. company logos, photos and wordings). Under normal circumstances an anticipated timescale (schedule) will be provided with my quotation. If you're in a hurry though, or even if you would like to tie publication in with a website launch party, we will endeavour to work to your timescale.
What if I don't like it?
Your input is valued at every stage but in the unlikely event of you simply not liking the proposed end result; we fix it before it's published. No website will ever be published without being fully signed off by the customer first.
How do the charges work? |
Site Building
Once an agreement has been made a deposit of 25% is required for domain(s) to be arranged and work to start. The balance is usually due on completion (before final publication), but for larger projects payment terms can be arranged. Payments can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or even Paypal, details of which will be provided when required.
Maintenance
For bespoke/adhoc work payment will be required on completion. For all maintenance agreements, monthly payments must be made through the usual banking systems one month in advance.
Of course, relevant invoices and receipts will be issued accordingly. |
Are there any other costs I need to be prepared for? |
Every potential cost will be discussed in the earliest stages so no, once your site is built and published to your specifications and at the agreed price, the only other costs you need to be aware of are for maintenance (if required) and the annual renewal costs for your domain(s) and hosting.
